1 Corinthians 2
Notes on God's Plan
GOD’S PLAN - 1). God made Paul and the leaders of the time for that moment in history to begin to declare His plan of salvation. (v.7) It was a mystery to the people of that day. Unfortunately, it’s still a mystery to many people today, and it shouldn’t be. We’ve got to continue sharing this valuable plan to people in this world so they too can enjoy God’s mercy and grace. We are part of this plan, so important that it was destined for us too before the world even began 2). God has great things in store for those who receive Him. (v.9) Surprises? God is full of them. Those that don’t receive Him don’t know what they are missing. We can always trust that God has more in store for us that we could ever imagine or understand. 3). God revealed these truths to Paul and the apostles by His Spirit. (v.10) Jesus had ascended to heaven but He left His Spirit on earth in His place. This was an even better plan for us because the Spirit is one with God and knows His inner thoughts and desires. That same Spirit shows us God’s truths and propels us forward in God’s plans.
